Experience

Frederick (Fred) Starrett was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on May 23, 1947. Fred has tried more than 50 jury trials and handled litigation throughout this region, including extensive appellate practice in the state and federal courts. Among the types of cases Fred has handled are copyright infringement, residential, commercial, and heavy construction, injuries, and professional and product liability. He has handled a broad range of litigation issues for an electric utility.  Fred is a senior fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America™, an honorary society of experienced and highly qualified trial lawyers.  Fred has taught trial practice at Washburn School of Law, served on the faculty of the Kansas Bar Association Trial Tactics Institute and the Advanced Trial Advocacy Institute, as well as appeared on numerous continuing legal education programs for bar and private providers.
